About the Artist

I've been creating visual art my entire life... sometime around the age of 3 or 4 my mother wanted to get me out of her hair, so to amuse me she gave me a bar of Ivory soap and some old clay sculpting tools, a picture book of animals and an admonition to keep the soap out of my mouth. An hour later, there was my rendition of a horse's head neatly carved out of the soap. From that time on, I kept the soap, the paint, the charcoal or what have you, out of my mouth and on the paper! I loved the process of creating, working with my hands and mind to make something folks thought was special. It's still my greatest joy.
